The large Ebu Bekr Mosque, which is the focal point of the local Muslim community, dominates Shkoder's city centre.Built on the side of old an Ottoman Mosque , the current mosque was built
in 1995 with funds from Saudi Arabia and Egypt and the official name is Sheik Zamil Abdullah Al -Zamil Mosque. The Ebu Bekr Mosque has been extensively renovated in 2008. The inside is bright yet a bit plain .
